Diana Simões
“I can lose myself in museums for hours, as I do in my paintings.”
Diana Simões is a Brazilian painter and designer based in Rio de Janeiro. She trained in Industrial Design at PUC-Rio, and complemented that training with drawing workshops and independent art courses.
Her work moves between figurative scenes, where a glance or a gesture carries the story, and expressive landscapes built from layered colour and visible brushwork. She also writes. She is currently painting a new series about Rio de Janeiro.
